Hi there, I'm Sonja, a Munich-based abstract painter. My work is rooted in moments from nature, and in our experience of space as we move through it.

I am deeply fascinated by sensory and emotional perception: how light changes when wind brushes through trees, how clouds can shift a mood, and how we, as individuals, bring meaning to a place through our thoughts and memories. I draw from sketches and photos, gather bits of moss, tree bark or small stones as inspiration for my color and texture choices. My paintings carry that same curiosity. They're an invitation to look, feel, and rest.
